FLOWERSBYDEB
A heartfelt journey built from love, loss and a deep passion for creating meaningful floral designs.
I have always loved flower arranging and in the 80’s I dabbled with dried flowers – baskets, swags, you name it, it had dried flowers in it. My passion truly ignited after losing my brother and then my dad.
Frustrated when florists used the wrong shade of purple or the wrong flowers, I began creating tributes myself. I made hearts, teardrops and posies for my brother. When my dad passed away in 2019, I knew I had to make his coffin spray as it was the last thing I could do for him.
After struggling to find realistic artificial flowers that didn’t blow away or look overly bright, I began making my own grave arrangements. Soon, people began asking me to create pieces for their loved ones too.
I love learning and spend countless hours watching YouTube florists such as Flowerjoos (John MacDonald), Kays Flower School (Janette & Deirdre) and Jenny T Floristry.
I have completed City & Guilds Level 2 Floristry (Merit), Level 2 Technical Certificate (Distinction*) and Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma (Distinction). I’ve also completed Modules 1 & 2 at Kays Flower School, with more to follow.
I have been fortunate to work alongside wonderful memorial specialists including Marcus Memorials, Crosby Memorials and Jenkins/Welsby Memorials, who proudly display my arrangements.
Today, I create fresh funeral tributes, realistic artificial tributes and a wide range of memorial pieces, all made with care and meaning.
Thanks, Deb x
Owner, Creator & Florist
Hi, I’m Deb. A trained florist who will never stop learning. Creating bespoke floral designs is a passion of mine and a special link to my brother and dad.
Finance & Quality Control
Mum is a perfectionist and the ideal candidate for quality control. If a design doesn’t get her approval, it’s remade.
Inspiration
My brother, and one of the reasons flowersbydeb exists. I began making tributes for him, and those early designs shaped my future.
I created flowersbydeb in honour of my dad. He always loved my arrangements and was incredibly proud.
