Fleurex - Competitions

Hi everyone, I had a fantastic time at Fleurex 2024 - the floristry industries annual exhibition.

I met loads of flowery friends including: Janette & Deidre from Kaysflowerschool, Lisa Paulsson (2nd in Interflora World Cup 2023) and Lizzie Newcombe who represented UK and came 3rd place.

I found the demonstrations fascinating both in the main theatre and also at the Flower Lab and found the whole weekend quite enjoyable.

I also stepped out of my comfort zone and into the limelight, to take part in the student competition - Handtie with Frame - Year of the Dragon and placed 3rd with some fabulous feedback and hints & tips to improve.

I also met other competitors from the larger scale competitions and listened to their experiences of competitions through the years.

All in all, I have a very enjoyable weekend
